St Patrick's Hockey Club was formed in Canberra in 1954 by Father Benedict 'Barney' Lynch, of St Patrick's Church in Braddon.  In 1977 the Club invited women's teams to join the ranks and from there the Club has grown to be one of the largest hockey clubs in Canberra and the region. We have Men's, Women's and Junior Boys & Girls teams competing in Hockey ACT indoor and outdoor competitions, as well as our own Hookin2Hockey Program, a fun participation-based program that develops kids under 10.

Each year many St Pats members gain selection in ACT representative teams and several of our members have competed on the international stage for Australia, most notably Trinny Powell - current Hockeyroo coach and previous player (252 caps).

We are a strong and proud club that aims for success on the pitch and a strong social and community connection. If you are interested in playing for St Pats do not hesitate to reach out - we would love to hear from you. And remember: Everyone looks good in green!!
